New DLA-RS60, DLA-RS50 and DLA-RS40 projectors

London, 22 October 2010 – JVC Professional is pleased to announce the addition of three new 3D-enabled projectors, the DLA-RS60, DLA-RS50 and DLA-RS40, to its popular D-ILA range. All three host native contrast ratios that are unmatched in the industry, with the top models delivering a 100,000:1 native contrast ratio.

New cabinet design is adapted to all three models with centre mounted lens symmetric design and rear input terminals which allow more versatile positioning and mounting options.

With new generation D-ILA optical engine, JVC evolved projector picture performance drastically: D-ILA device driver and Wire-gird are redesigned to reach the purest black level ever before as well as the smooth gradation of colours.

Combination with new short-arc high efficiency UHP lamp and 16 steps Lens and Lamp Double Aperture, the native contrast ratio is significantly increased.

Brightness has been also increased from earlier JVC models to 1,300 ANSI lumens.

n addition, Adobe RGB, DCI and sRGB colour profile allows more accurate and saturated colours. Together with 7-axis Colour Management System (RS50/60), JVC allow wider range of calibration to the customer.

Plus, JVC’s double-speed Clear Motion Drive is improved to reduce motion blur, with the choice of frame interpolation and black frame insertion.

The new flagship projector, the DLA-RS60, is built using hand selected, hand tested components and provides 100,000:1 native contrast ratios that no other three-chip projectors in the home theatre market can match.

The DLA-RS50 offers 70,000:1 native contrast ratio, while the DLA-RS40 offers 50,000:1 native contrast ratio.

JVC’s contrast ratio numbers are not inflated by electronic circuitry or a dynamic iris which artificially enhance contrast specifications, so every frame consistently and faithfully reproduces peak whites, deep blacks and every colour in between.

All three are compatible with JVC’s PK-AG1-BG Active Shutter 3D Glasses and PK-EM1-BG 3D Signal Emitter (sold separately) for 3D presentations.

For 3D content, each projector includes a HDMI 1.4a port and supports frame packing (Blu-ray), side-by-side (broadcast) and above-below 3D transmissions. An external 3D Signal Emitter (PK-EM1-BG) syncs the projected image with JVC’s Active Shutter 3D Glasses (PK-AG1-BG). The external 3D signal emitter ensures solid signal transmission to the 3D glasses for a superior 3D experience, no matter what type of screen is used or how the home theatre has been configured.
