RealPlayer Mobilises Mobile Content

New RealPlayer Software Allows Users to Move Media From Their Mobile Devices as Well as View, Manage, Share and Move Photos (In Addition to Videos and Music) Across a Range of Devices

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON–(Oct. 29, 2010) – RealNetworks®, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNWK), the digital entertainment services company, today launches the new version of RealPlayer®, which now adds photo management and mobile upload to its existing media management features. The new software enables consumers to view, manage and share video, music and now photos across a range of devices. Existing popular features such as one-click video download and transfer to mobile have been significantly enhanced with a new drag-and drop feature enabling users to move media from their mobile devices into central library on their computer or laptop. The application is available now at www.real.com/realplayer.

Johan Hansen, senior director, RealPlayer & consumer software comments: “People today have a range of fixed and mobile devices they use to view video and photos and to listen to music. In many cases the content stays on one device because it’s too complex or inconvenient to share or move it,” he continues: “The new RealPlayer now supports music, photo, and video, and, with transfer to and from mobile devices, it makes it easy to manage, share and preserve the content we love.”

RealPlayer is continuing to evolve as a complete media management solution and the new RealPlayer makes it easy for consumers to manage and move media across devices without worrying about file formats or conversion issues. It gives users the control and flexibility to enjoy their media in the way that suits them.

The free, new RealPlayer allows users to:

* Import photos taken on an Android, BlackBerry, or digital camera to a PC with one click; then share favourite photos on Facebook.
* Sync music playlists between a mobile phone and RealPlayer.
* Share favourite videos on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
* Download favourite videos from thousands of websites with one click.
* Play more music and video file types, including H.264, 3GP, MP3, and AAC.
* Copy favourite videos to an iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry and other popular devices automatically.
* Edit and trim videos to access particular parts instantly.

An optional upgrade to RealPlayer Plus will be available this month too for £29.99 and will include accelerated video downloading and transferring features, in addition to advanced CD and DVD burning features.

Over the past year, RealPlayer has been downloaded more than 140 million times and has been used to download over 1 billion videos.
