Macworld 2011 Will Serve As Launch Pad For More Than 100 New Products

Macworld’s First Looks Program Showcases New-to-Market Products and Innovations

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Jan. 20, 2011 — Dozens of companies will showcase more than 100 new products next week at Macworld 2011, IDG World Expo, owner of Macworld 2011, announced today. Each year, Macworld is the event of choice for Apple third-party product manufacturers to unveil and launch their newest products—including software, hardware, peripherals, accessories and applications—for the Apple products platform. The Macworld 2011 First Looks program showcases these products for media and attendees to make it easy to locate innovations at the show.

Highlights of this year’s First Looks participants include:

A.Kachalo & M.Balashoff (Booth #818, Mobile Apps Showcase): A.Kachalo & M.Balashoff will introduce iStudiez Pro for Mac, a multifunctional schedule planning application for students, teachers and parents. Boasting a uniquely designed smart interface and CLOUD SYNC to support the mobile version, iStudiez Pro for Mac puts all the information about all classes, homework, grades, instructors and holidays in one place.

algoriddim (Booth #409): algoriddim will launch djay for iPad, technology that transforms the iPad into a full-fledged DJ system that allows users to mix their iPod music library on a hyper-realistic turntable interface. Perform live, record mixes on-the-go, or enable Automix mode and let djay mix your favorite playlist automatically. With unprecedented ease-of-use and innovative multi-touch mixing features, djay for iPad takes DJing to the next level and offers a unique experience for beginners and professionals alike.

Apparent Software (Booth #246): Apparent Software will unveil ImageFramer, the ultimate framing solution for framing photos, artwork and other images in a wide array of photo-realistic or artistic frames and mats. ImageFramer is used by professional artists, photographers, bloggers and people who simply want their family photos to look better.

Appfluence (Booth #818, Mobile Apps Showcase): Appfluence will showcase Priority Matrix Cloud Sync, an innovative visual management tool that organizes tasks, agenda and priorities. The flexible tool allows users to assemble plans faster and in multiple dimensions. Soon, the technology will allow users to connect their plans to the cloud, allowing ideas to go wherever you go.

AWIND (Booth #946): AWIND will introduce McTiVia, the first device capable of displaying all the contents of a user’s Mac or Windows computer on their TV wirelessly. Users can easily control up to eight computers with their mouse and/or keyboard, as well as share any content from a computer with friends and family in the living room.

Dexim (Booth #642): Dexim will launch iBluek™ iPad Keyboard, technology that turns a user’s iPad into a laptop. The product features a Bluetooth iPad keyboard in a durable leather case that also keeps the iPad charged for 90 hours of use or 100 days of standby time using an internal lithium-ion battery.

ESET (Booth #429): ESET will showcase ESET Cybersecurity for Mac, which provides proactive protection from Mac, Windows and Linux threats. ESET helps protect files, email, the iTunes library, removable media and Time Machine archives without system slowdowns and pop-ups. ESET Cybersecurity also features complimentary online training to help users configure their Mac and keep their digital life safe.

JAMF Software (Booth #724): JAMF Software will showcase the Casper Suite 8.0, a collection of client management applications that includes comprehensive Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities for iOS devices, including iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Casper Suite 8.0 allows administrators to manage iOS devices using the same console they use to manage their Macs, benefitting from deep integration with the Apple ecosystem while leveraging existing technology.

MacPractice (Booth #302): MacPractice will unveil MacPractice 4.1, available in versions designed for physicians, chiropractors, dentists and eye care professionals. MacPractice MD 4.1 is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by CCHIT®, an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria for Eligible Providers adopted by the Secretary of HHS. This certification does not represent an endorsement by HHS or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

NAVIGON (Booth #943): NAVIGON will showcase MobileNavigator 1.7, an application that transforms the iPhone into a comprehensive turn-by-turn navigation device. The new version 1.7 is optimized to also run natively on the iPad and includes Zagat Survey’s premium ratings and reviews as an In App Purchase. A market first, Active Lane Assistant shows drivers exactly which lane to choose, using a moving on-screen animation.

Newer Technology/Other World Computing (Booth #513): Newer Technology will launch NewerTech NuStand Alloy desktop stands that offer non-skid, stable holders for iPad, Mac mini or Apple TV. A silicone center provides grip without scratching, plus allows easy access to ports. While lightweight (3.5 ounces) for easy portability, the aircraft grade aluminum design ensures durability.

Nuance Communications (Booth #636): Nuance Communications will feature Dragon Dictate for Mac 2.0. Input text just by speaking — up to three times faster than typing — and interact with your favorite Mac applications using only your voice. Built from the ground up for Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Dragon Dictate helps users create reports, email, articles, books, research notes, online content and more — quickly, easily and accurately. It’s Simply Smarter Speech Recognition for the Mac.

Optoma Technology (Booth #1008): Optoma Technology will showcase the Optoma Neo-I, the first product to combine an iPod/iPhone sound dock audio/video docking station with a powerful Pico projector, enabling users to create a large screen A/V theater experience directly from their portable media player and enjoy and share music, movies and videos as never before. An optional iPad connection kit is also available, and HDMI, VA and composite inputs allow connections to computers, Blu-ray players, AppleTV and most other video sources.

Recosoft (Booth #519): Recosoft will demonstrate PDF2ID v3.0, a technology that converts PDFs to editable InDesign files. PDF2ID forms paragraphs, applies styles, regroups graphics elements, creates tables and recovers other complex data automatically, converting every PDF page into an equivalent page in InDesign. PDF2ID saves time and enhances workflow automation.

RogueSheep (Booth #818, Mobile Apps Showcase): RogueSheep will unveil TouchUp for iPad, software that brings creative photo editing to iPad. With more than a dozen effects that can be applied in nearly unlimited layers to photos, TouchUp for iPad allows anyone to make common adjustments and create captivating art with their photos.

SMART Technologies (Booth #602): SMART will introduce SMART Sync 2010 classroom management software for the Mac platform. SMART Sync for Mac enhances the teaching and learning experience in computer-enabled classrooms. This intuitive software helps teachers make the most of class time – guiding students’ collaboration in a group setting while still communicating with the entire class.

Stellar Mac Tools (Booth #404): Stellar will introduce Stellar Drive Tool Box for Mac, a set of 12 utilities that help users maintain, manage, repair, protect, and sanitize their Mac hard drive and optimize overall performance. The brand new release comes with a bonus tool, Stellar Photo Recovery [$39 Value].

Ten One Design (Booth #615): Ten One Design will unveil Fling, a new kind of game controller made just for the iPad. Fling provides tactile control over any game that has a virtual joystick, enabling users to stop worrying about the controls so they can take their skills to the next level.

Vito Technology (Booth #818, Mobile Apps Showcase): Vito Technology will showcase GyroCompass 3D. Simply point the built-in iPod camera towards any sky object, such as the Sun or the Moon, swipe the app-generated sky to match the real one, and voila… users have a fully functioning software compass that is even more precise than the standard iPhone or iPad compass.

ZurApps Research (Booth #818, Mobile Apps Showcase): ZurApps Research will introduce Road Tripper, an app that maps your trip whether you’re driving cross-country or taking a city walking tour. It starts with a map and allows users to add points by holding their finger on the map or by searching a location and choosing one of the results. The map can be shared by printing or emailing.
