Denon Upgrade for AirPlay Music Streaming now available
Denon, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products today announced that the upgrade for AirPlay music streaming capability is now available. The feature upgrade allows users to easily stream music from their iTunes collections – as well as directly from their iPad™, iPhone®, or iPod touch® – to their Denon components with just the tap of a finger. The upgrade is available for purchase to owners of three existing Denon AV receivers – the AVR-4311 (RRP: €2,199), AVR-3311 (RRP: €1,399) and the company’s 100th Anniversary Product Collection model AVR-A100 (RRP: €2,499) – through www.denon-upgrade.eu for €49. The new CEOL Network Music System (RRP: €699) will be supported starting end of January.
Stream iTunes Music from PC or Mac to Home Entertainment Networks
With the incorporation of AirPlay in Denon products via the upgrade, users can open up their iTunes to a whole new experience, enjoying not only the ability to stream iTunes music from their PC or Mac on their home network, but also to access artist information, album art and elapsed and remaining time. Given the availability of the newly launched Apple iOS 4.2 update to its mobile operating system, owners of AirPlay compatible Denon components may now also stream songs directly from their iPad™, iPhone®, or iPod touch® to the AirPlay upgraded Denon device. The inclusion of AirPlay capability in Denon products has been made possible through a combination of advanced networking technologies. AirPlay has previously only been available on products such as the Apple AirPort Express.
