Venice, CA — February 22, 2011 — On the heels of its one millionth scan, CheckPoints LLC, creator of the popular CheckPoints mobile shopping and rewards app, today announces a partnership with Lionsgate® (NYSE: LGF), a leading diversified independent movie studio. CheckPoints will work with Lionsgate’s new DVD and Blu-ray releases to instantly deliver mobile offers and product information via smartphones to consumers while they shop. The DVD and Blu-ray content will come to life like never before, with consumers able to instantly watch trailers and receive CheckPoints in exchange for interacting with new products.
Using CheckPoints, consumers can scan the barcodes of new DVD and Blu-ray home entertainment releases from Lionsgate and rack up points redeemable for real-world rewards. Additionally, they’ll have access to exclusive offers and movie previews, right on their smartphones. Titles in the CheckPoints promotion include award winning television dramas like Mad Men and Weeds; family shows such as Timmy Time and Thomas and Friends; fitness titles including Jillian Michaels; and theatrical releases such as the upcoming The Next Three Days.

Shoppers can unlock exclusive content like games and recipes each time they scan the UPC of a featured item – no purchase necessary.
