Pioneer Unharmed by Japan Quake

Pioneer Corporation announced that its business and production facilities were not affected by the earthquake and tsunami that struck the northern region of Japan on March 11, 2011.

Pioneer Group Operations and support for the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake

Mar 15, 2011 — Pioneer Corporation announced today the impact (as of 15:00, 15th March) of the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake and tsunami that struck the northern region of Japan on March 11.

We have found our group employees are all safe and unharmed by this earthquake. In our head office (Kawasaki-shi, Kanawaga), Kawagoe plant (Kawagoe-shi, Saitama), Tohoku Pioneer Corporation (Tendo-shi, Yamagata), and Towada Pioneer Corporation (Towada-shi, Aomori), there found no major damages of their facilities and operations continue normally after confirming the safety.

Additionally, a disaster relief fund will collect donations across the Pioneer Group from employees, and their contributions will be matched by the company through a matching gifts program to help relief and recovery efforts in communities affected.
