Taiyo Yuden announced that it is now producing CD-R discs at its That’s Fukushima subsidiary and plans to restart DVD-R manufacturing in early April.
According to the statement, the company is working to revive operations at its Fukushima plant, which suffered building and equipment damage from the earthquake that struck the northern region of Japan on March 11, 2011. Additionally, the production site is not subject to the power outages planned for the region.
