Imation Corp. announced the promotion of Scott J. Robinson to the position of vice president and corporate controller. In this role, Robinson has global responsibility for the company’s internal and external reporting, financial accounting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and tax function.
According to the statement, Robinson has more than 20 years of experience in the finance field. Since 2007, he has been executive director, corporate controller, and chief accounting officer for Imation. Prior to joining Imation in 2004, Robinson was employed with Deluxe Corporation, a provider of personalized printed products, promotional products, and merchandizing materials, where he held the positions of director of internal audit and assistant corporate controller. He began his finance career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he worked in the company’s Minneapolis, New York, and Dusseldorf, Germany offices. Robinson is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University.
