Ontario’s First-Ever Consumer Electronics Show Comes To Toronto
‘Toronto Audio Video Entertainment Show’ Takes Over King Edward Hotel September 30 – October 2
TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2011 – In the world of home entertainment there is a lot to navigate. First there is the technology, then there are the brand names, then come the commissioned sales staff. The solution: the Toronto Audio Video Entertainment Show (TAVES) – Ontario’s first consumer electronics show designed to help Canadian consumers navigate the latest and greatest in audio and video products and technologies.
“Consumers invest a lot of hard earned money into televisions, speaker systems, and other audio video devices and TAVES wants to help consumers make better decisions about what the best options are for them,” says Suave Kajko, President of TAVES.
TAVES will bring more than 150 Canadian and international audio video brand names all under one roof to demonstrate technologies, educate consumers and provide entertainment for everyone from audio video novices through to enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a new home theatre system, upgrading an existing system, remodelling a single room or renovating the entire house, there will be someone available to answer questions and point out the options.
And guests won’t have to just take someone’s word for it – they’ll be able to experience the equipment in an environment built to highlight the best qualities the technologies have to offer; an experience not available at any retail outlet. Unlike other shows which are held in a convention centre, TAVES will be hosted at the King Edward hotel in downtown Toronto. The large meeting rooms provide an opportunity to demonstrate full-scale home theatre systems while the guest rooms provide the perfect setting to test out the cutting-edge audio and video equipment in a home-like setting.
Also at the show guests will be invited to attend informational seminars built to demystify some hot topics within the world of audio video equipment including:
• Video display buyer guide: choosing between plasma, LCD, LED TV or a projector and the benefits of 3D versus 2D display
• Get the most out of your picture quality: the features and benefits of a properly calibrated television
• Lose the wires: how to utilize AV receiver streaming, Airplay and Bluetooth to beam your digital audio
