Oscar winning movie ‘Argo’ is the first title to be released in India through this association
Under this license, 400 Warner Home Video titles to be released in India by Sony DADC

Mumbai, March 7, 2013: ‘Home Entertainment Services by Sony DADC’ has acquired the exclusive home video license of Warner Home Video for India. The association of Warner Home Video with Sony DADC is aimed at marketing and distributing their films on all physical formats in the country. The venture aims to be the leader in the retailing of home entertainment products in the country and plans to bring an innovative & path breaking approach to the marketing & distribution of the same.

‘Argo‘, the winner of the ‘Best Picture’ at the recently held 85th Academy Awards is the first title to be released by Sony DADC under this alliance in India. Academy Award® winner Ben Affleck directs and stars in Argo. It is a dramatization of the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to extract six American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran.

Close to 400 Warner Home Video titles are intended to be released under this license model, including THE HOBBIT: An Unexpected Journey, MAN OF STEEL, 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE, THE HANGOVER III, THE GREAT GATSBY & PACIFIC RIM.
