Some sad news today. Sony Corporation of America confirmed that Sony DADC will transfer distribution services from its Terre Haute, Indiana plant to its facility in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
This move will create no new positions and result in the loss of 34 jobs at the Indiana factory, which employs approximately 1,400 people. According to a company spokesperson, the last day for the affected workers will be June 1st and the action is being taken “in order to make more efficient use of both our Bolingbrook, IL distribution center and our Terre Haute, IN manufacturing operation.”
