Advanced networking features
Both our new Blu-ray Disc players offer convenient access to a wide array of online entertainment content options.

• Wired or wireless connectivity
In addition to an Ethernet port for regular wired integration, both new models can easily connect to the internet through a wireless home network via an optional Pioneer wireless LAN adapter.

• BD-Live, YouTube video and RSS feeds
Access to online sources enables downloading and streaming of BD-Live content which may include additional scenes, images, bonus trailers, interactive games and much more. Through the familiar user interface of the player, you can now also read selected RSS feeds and even enjoy YouTube video browsing on a connected TV.

• “Push-style” firmware updates
A web update service can automatically inform you about the availability of firmware updates to keep your device up-to-date with the latest features.

• Navigation & control via iControlAV application
We have released a free application that turns an iPhone and iPod touch into a fully functioning remote control for the BDP-LX53 as well as the BDP-330. When they are connected to an existing wireless router (via Ethernet or Wireless LAN), the application allows wireless control of playback and navigation functions.

In addition, the iControlAV application integrates advanced and original control for our recently announced new generation AV receivers VSX-920-K and VSX-1020-K/VSX-1025-K.

Dynamic high-quality sound
We recognise the vital importance that sound plays in creating a true-to-life home entertainment experience for film fans who want the sound experience to be on the same level as being at the movies.

• Fidelity audio
The top-of-the-line BDP-LX53 features a rigid construction and great attention to detail to ensure a first-rate Blu-ray experience, while also doubling as a high-quality audio player. The integration of the finest audio parts lies at the heart of the BDP-LX53’s impressive sonic performance, which is enhanced by the player’s design.

Built according to the ‘Armoured Chassis Concept’, the chassis of the BDP-LX53 is strengthened with a layered chassis armour and drive stabiliser which help to reduce vibration, contributing to top-class audio performance. Adding to the Blu-ray Disc player’s high-quality feel are gold-plated terminals, ice blue illumination and a hair-line front panel finish.

• HD audio
Thanks to on-board HD audio decoding, our BDP-LX53 and BDP-330 deliver the most advanced multi-channel audio available. Vibrant colours and refined picture reproduction are complemented by digital audio formats DTS-HD Master Audio Essential and Dolby TrueHD, which both models can either output as native bitstream or decode internally and output as uncompressed multi-channel LPCM on HDMI.

• PQLS does bitstream
Our new Blu-ray Disc players come equipped with the latest evolution of our proprietary Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) that ensures jitterless transmission of uncompressed 2-channel or multi-channel LPCM and now also bitstream audio over HDMI to compatible Pioneer AV receivers.

With PQLS, a compliant Pioneer Blu-ray Disc player and AV receiver cleverly synchronise both components’ digital clocks for optimal digital audio playback.

Cinematic picture quality
Accommodating those with a library of both DVDs as well as Blu-ray films, our new Blu-ray Disc players include high quality 1080p upscaling to get the best out of existing movie collections. Their ability to handle 1080p 24 frames per second (fps) reproduction rate guarantees a lifelike cinematic experience on a compatible display.

Taking advantage of HDMI connectivity, they provide pure, natural images to deliver the full emotional impact of Blu-ray disc films as the director intended. To further improve the image quality both Blu-ray Disc players support 36-bit Deep Colour, which improves subtle colour gradations, resulting in lively colours and smooth transitions between different gradation steps.

Optimum user convenience
Committed to provide the best possible user convenience, our new BDP-LX53 and BDP-330 offer a range of handy features that meet the film fan’s needs.

• Quick Start & Skip Search/Replay
With their Quick Start mode, the units can reduce power-on time, giving much quicker access to disc playback. In addition, a Skip Search/Replay function allows you to skip scenes or play back e.g. a missed dialogue,
all at the push of a button.

• Control via HDMI and RS-232C
Both models support control via HDMI (CEC) enabling easy operation of the player using the remote of a compliant TV or display. For custom installations, the BDP-LX53 includes an RS-232C port which allows management by external control systems.

• Playback flexibility
The BDP-LX53 and BDP-330 are compatible with a wide range of formats including BD-ROM/RE/R, DVD Video, DVD-RW/R and audio CDs, as well as MP3 playback and incorporate a JPEG viewer for photo slideshows.
