SCENARIST DEBUTS 4K ULTRA HD UPGRADE FOR DOSTUDIO
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS (September 15, 2017) – Scenarist®, LLC, the developer of Hollywood-standard Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc authoring systems based in Marin County, California held a special reception for DoStudio owners during the International Broadcast Convention in Amsterdam to debut a comprehensive upgrade program for owners of Sony DoStudio. The program enables users to rapidly gain advanced BD capabilities as well as harness the exciting capabilities of the new Ultra HD Blu-ray format.
The Ultra HD Blu-ray format provides for high dynamic range (HDR) 10-bit video with wide color gamut in 3840×2160 resolution along with immersive 11.1 channel audio, plus the format can hold up to 100GB of movie content, menus, extras and more. Scenarist’s applications make the most of the new format with a workflow that enables the creation of a BD and Ultra HD Blu-ray title from the same authoring project.

Scenarist’s program offers DSA owners a range of upgrade options from Scenarist BD and Scenarist Designer to Scenarist UHD. Scenarist’s exclusive Color Space Manager application that is included with Scenarist UHD instantly batch converts hundreds of bt.709 SDR graphics to bt.2020 making them HDR author-ready. The upgrade program also includes Scenarist’s project library which contains familiar title set-ups that enable DoStudio users to get up and running quickly.
