Audyssey announced that Marantz’s 2010 line of AV receivers now uses a full complement of Audyssey technologies.
According to the statement, Marantz was one of the first companies to use the Audyssey MultEQ room calibration and equalization technology when it first partnered with Audyssey in 2005. Each new Marantz model will use MultEQ, Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume with two models adding Audyssey DSX and MultEQ Pro capability.
The first model to ship is the Marantz NR1601 AV Receiver ($599), hitting stores in July and featuring Audyssey MultEQ, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. One month later, consumers will be treated to the Marantz SR7005 ($1,599), a 7.2 channel AV Receiver which features Audyssey DSX and the ability to be equalized using MultEQ Pro. Also in August, Marantz will release the SR5005 AV Receiver ($799), which features Audyssey MultEQ, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume.
In September, the Marantz SR6005AV Receiver ($999) with Audyssey MultEQ, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume will be available. The Marantz AV7005 ($1,499) pre-amp will hit stores in October and, like the SR7005, will feature Audyssey DSX for additional height or wide channels, Audyssey MultEQ XT, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. It can also be tuned with MultEQ Pro by a certified installer.
In addition to the new Audyssey technologies, all of these products are fully compatible with the latest 3D TVs and Blu-ray players and feature a USB connection for iPod players, keeping Marantz fully up-to-date with the latest developments in audio and video.
