Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced that James Cameron’s Avatar became the best selling Blu-ray Disc (BD) of all time after four days in stores, with 2.7 million units sold in North America.

According to the statement, Avatar Blu-ray sales surpassed the previous record of 2.5 million units and combined retail sales of Avatar Blu-ray and DVD discs have exceeded 6.7 million units since launch last Thursday.
