The International 3D Society Presents the Prestigious Lumiere Award to Treyarch for Outstanding Achievement in 3D Gaming for “Call of Duty(r): Black Ops”

LOS ANGELES–The International 3D Society awarded “Call of Duty(r): Black Ops” with the 2011 Creative Arts Lumiere Award for Outstanding Achievement in 3D Gaming. On hand for the presentation was Charlotte Huggins, 3D Creative Arts Awards Committee Co-Chair and Producer of Salient Features, along with Robert Sanchez – 3D Producer, Treyarch; Dave Anthony – Director, Treyarch; and Mark Lamia – Studio Head of Treyarch and recipient of the 3D Society’s 2011 Creative Arts Lumiere Award.

The International 3D Society is a nonprofit organization made up of 3D professionals with the mission to advance arts and sciences of stereoscopic technology and content through education, hands-on demonstration and celebration.

Treyarch is home to some of the game industry’s best and brightest creative talents. Their most recent creation, Call of Duty(r): Black Ops, published by Activision Publishing, Inc., has grossed over one billion dollars, and shattered opening day and five-day entertainment launch records for theatrical box office, book, and video game sales.
