Former Panasonic Execs Inducted into Hall of Fame

Panasonic Corporation of North America announced that two of its former executives, Richard Kraft and Dr. Larry Weber, were inducted into the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) “Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame” this week in ceremonies held at the CEA Industry Forum in San Francisco, CA.

I3DS Lumiere Awards Honor 3D Technologies

The International 3D Society (I3DS) held its first 3D Technology Awards ceremony October 19th to honor individuals and organizations whose contributions advance the stereoscopic medium.

Panasonic Receives Wheatstone 3D Award

Panasonic Corporation announced that it received the International 3D Society’s first Wheatstone Award in recognition of the company’s efforts in advocating for Full HD 3D TV, its development of 3D TV and video systems and its history of educating consumers about 3D TV.

Blu-ray Disc Association Inducted into Hall of Fame

Variety announced that the the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), as well as Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos and Anchor Bay Entertainment president Bill Clark, will be inducted into the Variety Home Entertainment Hall of Fame on Dec. 6, 2010, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Panasonic and Toshiba Bag 3D Awards at CEATEC

The CEATEC Japan Organizing Committee announced that the CEATEC 2010 Innovation Awards, as selected by US journalists, were presented at a ceremony held October 7th at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan. Denon Recognizes Centennial Partners

Denon Electronics announced its five Denon Centennial Partners, including Audyssey, Control4, Dolby Laboratories, DTS and HD Radio.
