Blu-ray Disc Association Inducted into Hall of Fame

Variety announced that the the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), as well as Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos and Anchor Bay Entertainment president Bill Clark, will be inducted into the Variety Home Entertainment Hall of Fame on Dec. 6, 2010, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Panasonic and Toshiba Bag 3D Awards at CEATEC

The CEATEC Japan Organizing Committee announced that the CEATEC 2010 Innovation Awards, as selected by US journalists, were presented at a ceremony held October 7th at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan. Denon Recognizes Centennial Partners

Denon Electronics announced its five Denon Centennial Partners, including Audyssey, Control4, Dolby Laboratories, DTS and HD Radio. According to the statement, Denon is recognizing each of these companies for the role their technologies have played in the creation of Denon products throughout the years and continue to play in Denon’s future.

Storage Visions Conference Awards Nominations

Coughlin Associates and the Entertainment Storage Alliance announced that the Tenth Annual Storage Visions Conference is to be held at the Riviera Hotel Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan. 4 & 5, 2011 and that submissions for the Storage Visions Awards will be accepted from Sept. 15, 2010 to Nov. 19, 2010.

3D Technology Lumiere Award Winners Announced

The International 3D Society announced the 2010 recipients of its Lumiere Award. According to the statement, recognizing recent accomplishments within the stereoscopic 3D medium, the Lumiere Award will be formally presented during the 3D Technology Awards on Oct. 19, 2010 at Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
