Spectra to Receive Japanese Patent for Disc Labeling Technology

Spectra Systems Corporation announced that it has received a Notice of Allowance from the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office for a new patent, “System for Applying Markings to Optical Media,” related to the Company’s MediaCoat technology, which allows the graphical labeling of optical media across the entire play side of a disc (CD or DVD).

Paragon Installs Lamin Six Color Press

Paragon Media announced that it has installed a new Lamin 6 color off-set disc printing press in its Seattle, WA facility. According to the statement, Paragon uses the Lamin 6 color off-set press to decorate both prerecorded discs and custom printed recordable CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
