Corel Corporation announced the introduction of a free update for Corel VideoStudio Pro X3.
According to the statement, this update adds high-speed GPU- and multicore acceleration for video color correction, plus extended support for MPEG-4 cameras. Customers also receive Corel DVD Movie Factory 7 SE for advanced DVD authoring and burning, now fully integrated and accessible from Corel VideoStudio Pro X3.

Highlights of the new capabilities introduced in this update:
• New – High Speed Color Correction – New multicore- and GPU-optimized color correction tools provide VideoStudio Pro X3 with a new engine that adjusts and enhances color in real time.
• New – Fully Integrated Advanced DVD Authoring with DVD MovieFactory Pro 7 SE – Now directly accessible from Corel VideoStudio Pro X3, DVD MovieFactory 7 SE provides more advanced DVD authoring for customers seeking more power than DVD Factory Pro 2010; both burning applications are free with Corel Videostudio Pro X3.
• Updated Camera Support – Broadened MPEG-4 capabilities add support for additional cameras including select models from Flip, Canon and others.
Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 Service Pack (SP) 1, offering the new functionality outlined above as well as enhanced stability, performance and fixes, is now available as a free download.
Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 is available for $99.99 (USD and CDN) for the full version or $79.99 for the upgrade. Available in North America, Corel also offers the Corel Photo & Video Pro X3 Bundle, featuring both Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 and Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3, priced at $149.99 (SRP).
