MONSTER AND CRESTRON PARTNER ON HDMI™ PROJECTS
Las Vegas, NV, January 5, 2011 – Monster, the world’s leading manufacturer of HDMI™ cables, AV accessories, and power conditioning products, and Crestron Electronics, Inc. are announcing a partnership to deliver the highest quality HDMI experience in their respective markets.
The partnership takes advantage of the power of both the Monster and Crestron brands, technical leadership, and innovation in their respective markets and technologies. Crestron’s expertise in HDMI switching systems and Monster’s expertise in HDMI cables creates the complete package for reliable HDMI distribution. Crestron is working with Monster on a partnership agreement that will allow Monster’s HDMI interconnect cables to become DM certified. The details of the agreement are still being discussed, but look for further announcements and details in the coming weeks.
Crestron’s DigitalMedia™ System is state-of-the-art and is the most advanced HDMI and DVI switching system available. Monster offers the only Speed Badged and speed-rated HDMI cables available and sets the standard for reliable HDMI and DVI connections. Notably, Monster’s Speed ratings are all verified by Simplay HD™. Monster offers the World’s widest and most comprehensive selection of HDMI cables for consumers to chose from with the widest range of prices and performance from its non-speed-rated Monster Basic™ for HDMI™ to its Ultimate High Speed rated products. All of Monster’s latest HDMI cables meet or exceed the latest HDMI specification and are rated for in-wall installation. Crestron found that substandard HDMI cables were often the cause of customer frustration with their DigitalMedia™ Systems. Crestron testing has shown that the performance of their DigitalMedia™ System is enhanced by using Monster’s Speed Badged™ HDMI cables. Monster’s SuperThin™ cables are the thinnest and most supple HDMI cables available.
The details of distribution, supply and marketing will be announced.
Noel Lee, Head Monster said, “We are delighted to partner with Crestron to deliver reliable HDMI connections for all our mutual customers. Crestron’s and Monster’s brands represent the finest in the custom installation business, and we look forward to a long and beneficial partnership!”
Steve Samson, Director of Business Development for Crestron, said, “This partnership enables Crestron to further improve the reliability of our DM™ System. This removes the HDMI cable as a potential failure point so our products are more likely to create a fabulous HDMI experience for our customers and installers. We believe that partnering with Monster enhances both our brands!”
