Digital Projection Takes Key Sponsorship Role at 2011 CEDIA Management Conference

DPI announced it was both taking a key sponsorship role and presenting on advanced 3D technology at the upcoming CEDIA Management Conference, held in San Diego, California, from March 9 – 12, 2011.

Atlanta, Georgia — March 01, 2011 — Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announced it was taking a key sponsorship role at the upcoming CEDIA Management Conference, held in San Diego, California, from March 9 – 12, 2011. The theme of this year’s conference focuses on “Solutions for a Changing Industry,” where attendees will spend four days networking with industry peers, discussing new business strategies, and discovering new ways to increase operational efficiency.

The custom electronics industry experienced a potent dose of economic hardship in 2009 and much of 2010. With budgets tightening industry-wide, many custom integrators have been aggressively seeking new ways to expand their abilities, as well as refine their business processes. Many dealers rely on CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) for growth, training and business insight, making CEDIA’s education efforts more important than ever. As CEDIA’s ability to educate and aid its integrator members is directly tied to the support of the manufacturers and industry partners that help fund its efforts, DPI sees this sponsorship opportunity as an honor.

In addition to the sponsorship role, George Walter, VP of Home Cinema for DPI, will deliver a presentation around the theme, “3D Enters Year Two — Opportunity or Hassle?” Well regarded as a respected speaker on the technology surrounding 3D, Walter’s presentation will reveal how integrators can turn a solid understanding of 3D technology into lucrative project opportunities, as well as how to avoid potential hazards in 3D installations. Walter will also brief the audience on the 3D peripherals, content and displays that will be coming to market in the near future. This presentation will be held during the conference, from 3:00 – 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 9.
