SAUSALITO, CA–(July 28, 2010) – Public Media Works, Inc. (OTCBB: PUBM) has entered into a five-year collaboration agreement with 3D Mediacast, Inc., a Florida corporation (“3DMC”), for their 3D LCD advertising screens to be built into EntertainmentXpress DVD kiosks at no cost to the company. 3DMC will also provide additional “no glasses needed” 3D screens to be placed in EntertainmentXpress customer locations with justifiable store traffic volume at no cost to the company or the retail customer.
The recently signed agreement provides for the two companies to share equally the advertising revenue received from the 3D LCD screens placed in EntertainmentXpress retail customer locations. 3DMC will provide the 3D screens exclusively to EntertainmentXpress as it relates to kiosks.
In addition, 3DMC will pay EntertainmentXpress 25% of its overall advertising revenues for the full term of the five-year agreement with the first $3 million of those revenues to be used to purchase shares of PMW Common Stock as described under the terms of the agreement. Also, according to the agreement, the 25% revenue sharing arrangement would continue throughout the five-year term, up to and beyond the $3 million for the stock purchase.
3DMC is in the business of providing 3D LCD screens to retailers, airports, restaurants and other businesses and public venues for purposes of displaying advertising. 3DMC will provide the 3D screens, software, network management and maintenance of the 3D screens for EntertainmentXpress client locations at no cost to the company or its retail clients. 3DMC will have the non-exclusive right to sell advertising for the digital ad networks.
“We are delighted to formalize this exclusive arrangement with Public Media Works. We truly believe they are a progressive, forward thinking company with the best business model in the DVD kiosk space. They have terrific access to high volume store locations and we have expectations that together we will build the largest Digital out-of-home ad network in existence over the next three years,” says Fernando Dalmau, co-founder and President of 3D Mediacast.
EntertainmentXpress, a division of Public Media Works, provides a convenient way for consumers to buy or rent movies, games and other entertainment media through kiosks located in quick-serve food locations, grocery stores and other high-traffic, public venues. The company’s business plan also includes an out-of-home advertising model with onboard 3D screens in kiosks that provide its retail partners an opportunity to share in ad revenue as well as in DVD rental and sales revenue.
“Our collaborative arrangement with 3DMC represents a true partnership with both business opportunity and an equity component. We strongly feel that this truly represents a win-win for 3DMC, our retail partners and our shareholders. Our goal is to stand out among the rest as a more contemporary solution in the DVD movie and video game sales and rental space. Incorporating this amazing 3D screen technology underscores this commitment,” comments Bill Zabit, President of Public Media Works.
EntertainmentXpress has designed kiosks to include on-board 3DMC monitors, from 32″ to 42″, which it believes will offer a compelling picture of opportunity for advertising revenue sharing with their retail partners. The roadmap includes pre-building kiosks to anticipate future applications in content and downloadable functionality. Each kiosk will be built to be SMS messaging capable and is intended to serve as a media filling station to digital storage devices which include flash drives, SD cards, MP3 players, memory sticks and more.
