Eyeframe announced that PPC DVD will merge into Eyeframe with immediate effect in a move that sees Picture Production Company (PPC) concentrate on its core business activities.
According to the statement, the merger will see Eyeframe expand significantly across personnel, kit and clients. Jo Harris, who has been heading up PPC DVD, will be coming across to Eyeframe along with key members of her team, including senior Blu-ray author Ranjit Sagoo, producer Tom Parker and designer Hanlie Volman, as well as others responsible for the encoding and QC.
The introduction of the PPC DVD team means their existing clients, which include ITV DVD and Momentum Pictures, will join Eyeframe who were one of the first authoring facilities in the country to begin working across both HD DVD and Blu-ray formats. Their addition to the award-winning Eyeframe will be complemented by their continued working relationship with Harris.
The merger also includes the acquisition of existing kit from the DVD suites at PPC, which will be brought across to Eyeframe’s Poland Street facility in the following weeks. “We’re all very excited about PPC DVD being merged into Eyeframe and what Jo and her team can bring to our DVD and Blu-ray department” said Julie Redmond, Managing Director of Eyeframe. “PPC DVD has a strong reputation for their creative output across medias which will allow Eyeframe to expand its creative services across Blu-ray, DVD, design and digital delivery benefiting all of our clients”.
Jo Harris said “My team members and I are very excited to be joining Eyeframe. Over the past three years, with the support of PPC, we’ve pioneered BD and DVD authoring, and created an impressive array of groundbreaking projects. Now, we look forward to taking our expertise and experience to the next level at our new home at Eyeframe”.
