EZPnP announced its EZDigiMagic DM550-BD, the industry’s first Blu-ray Disc (BD) burner to copy files directly from flash memory cards and USB drives without using a computer.
According to the statement, the DM550-BD is a standalone Blu-ray burner that allows users to copy up to 50GB of digital data onto one disc. With it’s compact size and a weight of less than three pounds, this desktop unit can be transported easily and used nearly anywhere.
Additionally, consumers can take advantage of the DM550-BD’s versatility by utilizing its built-in two-inch color TFT screen for photo viewing, a USB host port for copying files directly from cameras, camcorders or USB flash drives and video-out capability, which allows users to connect to a TV for image viewing and video playback.
The DM550-BD supports most file formats as well all major memory card types and has easy-to-use menu options. Backing up photos, videos, documents or music can be done with the touch of a button and the unit can copy to CD and DVD discs. For added flexibility, a USB 2.0 cable is provided, which allows the DM550-BD to be used as an external Blu-ray burner or drive for either a PC or Mac.
The EZDigiMagic DM550-BD has a suggested retail price of $799.
