Haier unveils stylishly slim TV line-up with more than 20 TVs across 5 Series

Ultra HD, integrated Android operating system and ultra-slim design are key to Haier’s 2014 product lines

Haier, the world’s number one Major Appliances brand for the last five consecutive years*, has unveiled more than 20 new TV models at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Haier’s 2014 launches include three lines of Ultra HD 4K TVs and a range of Android TVs. The new products are all boosted by stunning design features and boast an ultra-slim frame for a more immersive experience.

Haier unveils three ranges of Ultra HD TVs

H6500 series: performance and price
Haier introduces its range of ultra-slim 4K TVs with chrome stand, which display a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, four times the resolution of Full HD. Ultra-HD offers a clearer and better defined image, ideal for the larger screens preferred by modern consumers. Available in four different sizes ranging from 42” to 65”, the H6500 series offers an extra-fast refresh rate and smooth motion thanks to F2R600 technology.

This line of 4K TVs also offer a Mega Dynamic Contrast ratio of 8 million: 1, for images with vivid colours and deep blacks. All models in the H6500 series have an A+ energy efficiency rating, keeping energy consumption to the minimum.

H7000 Series: design and 3D
The H7000 series is characterised by its refined design, with an ultra-slim frame enhanced by a chrome surround, stylized metal base and a sleek, white lacquer back panel. Combining Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) and 3D technology, the realism of images will immerse you in the heart of the action. These TVs also feature Edge-lit LED backlighting, have a Mega Dynamic Contrast of 8 million: 1 and an ultra-fast refresh rate of F2R600. Three HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) ports make it possible to send out the audio from other HDMI sources when the cable is connected to another ARC compatible device, eliminating the need for an audio cable.

H9000 Series: Ultra HD
In the second half of 2014, Haier will launch the H9000 series, building on the features of the H6500 series. An HEVC encoder and HDMI 2.0 ports make the Ultra HD experience ten times more intense.

HEVC, a new compression format adapted for Ultra HD
The HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) improves encoding/ compression performance compared to its predecessor AVC. The required bit rate is halved while quality remains the same, ideal for compressing videos in high definition (2K, 4K, 8K). HEVC compatibility ensures that all ultra-high definition content can be read by your 4K TV.

An efficiency and connectivity upgrade: HDMI 2.0
H9000 series models will be equipped with HDMI 2.0 ports. This new HDMI standard is compatible with all previous versions, meaning there is no need to buy new cables. 4k content can be viewed at 60 FPS while HDMI 2.0 can also read up to 32 audio channels and 21:9 widescreen images.

The H9000 Series includes 50” (127 cm), 58” (147 cm) and 65” (165 cm) models.

M7000 Series: the first built-in Android 4.2 TV range
Accessing the Android world on a television set is a dream for many and with the M7000 Series, it becomes a simple reality! Once connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or through the Ethernet port, you can download your movies on Google Play, catch up on your favourite shows, play your favourite games or listen to your music selections. The specially-designed Haier Android interface allows for easy and intuitive navigation with one remote.

The stunning, ultra-slim frame and metal base give this range a modern and stylish finish. The M7000 series boasts a very high dynamic contrast of Mega 6 (6 million: 1) and a fast refresh rate of F2R400 for images with natural colours and large fluid movements for greater visual comfort.

B7000 series: high-performance technology
The B7000 series has all the features needed for users to enjoy their favourite programmes and connect to all audio- video devices from soundbars to DVD players personal computers and much more.

The ultra-slim frame and metal base contribute to the elegance of its design. This series includes various types of digital tuners (DVB-T / C or DVB-T/C/T2 or DVB-T/C/S2) and renders images in Full HD (1920 x 1080) or HD (only for 32” model’, 1366×768 resolution).

Functions available through each model’s USB Port include TV recording on a USB key or hard drive and live-pause TV. A dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million: 1 ensures that images appear brighter with a deeper black colour, while energy consumption remains impressively low with an A+ efficiency rating.
