The Nielsen Company announced that it has released its latest report “How People Watch – The Global State of Video Consumption.”
According to the statement, to get a sense for how people around the world watch video Nielsen conducted an online survey between March 8 and March 26, 2010 of more than 27,000 consumers in 55 countries.
Among the survey’s key findings, 30% of respondents own a high-definition television (HDTV) set with residents of North America leading the pack. Additionally, 12% own or would like to purchase a 3D TV in the next year with strongest interest coming from consumers ages 25-29 in the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and Latin America.
