The 2017 European MEDIA-TECH Conference in Hamburg on May 15 & 16, 2017
• Annual members’ assembly of the MEDIA-TECH Association took place on May 15, 2017
• Sven Deutschmann was elected to become a member of the Executive Board
• Vinyl & Ultra HD Blu-ray had been the main topics of the 2017 conference
Hamburg, 18.05.2017 – The members of the MEDIA-TECH Association (MEDIA-TECH) met on May 15 in Hamburg during the 2017 European MEDIA-TECH Conference for their first annual members’ assembly. Topics of discussion included the further changes in the media landscape and the re-election of one executive board member.
Frank Hartwig, Chairman of MEDIA-TECH Association: “During the MEDIA-TECH Association Member Meeting in Hamburg, Sven Deutschmann (Chief Executive Officer of Sonopress GmbH, Gütersloh, Germany) was elected to become a member of the Executive Board of the MEDIA-TECH Association. We appreciate very much that with Sonopress one of the major players of our industry is active in the Executive Board”.
Frank Hartwig (Chief Executive Officer of CDA GmbH, Suhl, Germany) as chairman of the Association, Michael Hosp (Chief Executive Officer of kdg mediatech, Elbigenalp, Austria) as well as Dieter Lubberich, (VP Distribution Operations Sony DADC International), Sylvia Hitzel (Vice President Marketing & Sales of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, Kahl/Main, Germany) and Bryan Ekus (General Manager of Colonial Purchasing, USA) remain in their position in the executive board of the MEDIA-TECH Association.
After a successful conference in Hamburg which took place on May 15 and May 16 in 2017, the members agreed that such an event still represents an excellent forum for information exchange as well as face to face networking in the industry. The event covered the latest market developments and all aspects starting with Vinyl, optical media and highlighting new technologies like UltraHD TV & Blu-ray.

Alban Pingeot, Chairman & Managing Director MPO: “The future of the physical distribution will be decisive. Young consumers look for digital quality.
