MPEG LA announced that Medion AG has entered into the MPEG-2 patent portfolio license offered by MPEG LA.

According to the statement, as a result of this agreement, several companies that license their MPEG-2 patents through MPEG LA have withdrawn patent enforcement actions pending before the District Court Düsseldorf, Germany.
