Convenient Streaming of Multimedia Content to Xbox One with Nero 2014
Nero 2014 supports streaming of videos, photos, and slide shows to the Xbox One. This way, Nero 2014 users can enjoy media content on their TV via streaming even if they don’t have a smart TV
GLENDALE, Calif. — Nero announces that their multimedia software Nero 2014 also supports streaming of videos, photos, and slide shows to the Xbox One. The Xbox One offers amazing multimedia features and a new level of gaming fun. However, users of the latest Microsoft console can’t play back media content from USB sticks or external hard drives connected to the Xbox. Microsoft might add this feature in the future. Until then, Nero users can benefit from an alternative solution: With the “Play To” feature and Nero 2014, they can conveniently stream multimedia content from Windows devices to the Xbox One.
Smart TV market penetration is still relatively low. Even without a smart TV users can enjoy their multimedia content on a TV via streaming, they just need to connect their Windows PC with Nero 2014 installed to the Xbox One over Wi-Fi. When they open Nero 2014 MediaHome, they can select the Xbox One as target device for streaming. With Nero 2014 users who don’t own a tablet or a hybrid device with an optical disc drive can also access CD, DVD, or Blu-ray Disc archives or watch videos from various sources on many other devices than the Xbox One – and they don’t need to worry about format, resolution etc. Nero 2014 is the right choice for media aficionados eager to stream media to new streaming-enabled Ultra HD TVs from their PC.
“Nero now supports streaming to the Xbox One which further highlights the versatility of its 2014 software,” said Jürgen Kurz, CEO at Nero. “This of course includes much more than streaming: Nero 2014 lets users quickly and easily find and organize their photos, videos, and music. In addition to the fast and easy media converting, the software also contains comprehensive video editing and media playback features.”
Nero 2014 was released in September. The suggested retail price is 99.99 USD, Nero 2014 Platinum is available for 129.99 USD.
