ArcSoft announced that its multimedia player software, TotalMedia Theatre, has been incorporated into Onkyo’s PureSpace as the media player for their newly released Notebook R511 series.
According to the statement, TotalMedia Theatre provides users with the digital entertainment center for watching their DVD movies with audio sound effects. TotalMedia Theatre also includes its video up-scaling technology, SimHD, now with GPU processing optimization, for enhanced processing speed on PCs, allowing users to watch their DVDs in near high-definition.
“The combination of Onkyo’s well-engineered and elegant PCs and ArcSoft’s powerful applications is a win-win for all users,” said Sean Bi, ArcSoft’s Vice President and General Manager of APAC. “Users can enjoy DVD movies, both in original or upscaled resolution, listen to music with superb sound, and view their photos on these versatile notebooks.”
“We are glad to be working with ArcSoft, implementing TotalMedia Theatre into PureSpace on Onkyo’s R511 Series,” said Harunori Ohta, General Manager of Engineering Department, Onkyo PC Company. “Together with the built-in advanced audio capability, Onkyo’s R511 users are well equipped for in-theatre experience on PC.”
