SAN DIEGO, CA–(Jul 28, 2011) – PacketVideo
NEWS FACTS:
• PacketVideo (PV) announced today that it has filed patent infringement lawsuits against digital music service Spotify in the U.S. and Europe.
• The lawsuits, which have been filed in the Netherlands and in San Diego in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, come after PacketVideo made attempts to amicably resolve its concerns with Spotify’s patent infringement outside of court.
• PacketVideo said Spotify knowingly infringed and continues to infringe on a number of PacketVideo patents, including:
• U.S. patent US 5,636,276
• European patent EP 0 678 851
