Panasonic Corporation announced that, with two years to go until the London 2012 Olympic Games, the company will host a one day event called “Get Ready for London 2012” in Trafalgar Square on July 27, 2010.
According to the statement, the event highlights include a “3D Future Zone” featuring six special pods that include Panasonic’s Full HD 3D Plasma Home Theater Systems. The systems allow visitors to view Olympic Games footage from recent Olympic Games in high-quality 3D.
Also, in cooperation with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Panasonic will broadcast a live feed of the celebrations being hosted in the Olympic Park, East London on its big screen in Trafalgar Square. By receiving the BBC News channel live feed, Panasonic’s 60m2 LED screen in the square, will give people an opportunity to be a part of this milestone day in the countdown to London 2012.
Panasonic will host various events and attractions from 11:00 to 20:00 on July 27 in Trafalgar Square, including a live broadcast of the London 2012 tour of the Olympic Park from 14:15-15:00.
Dignitaries on hand will include LOCOG CEO Paul Deighton, Team GB Olympic Gold medalist Tim Brabants and Team GB Olympic Silver medalist Keri-Anne Payne.
