Berlin, Germany (29th August, 2012) – Panasonic has unveiled its largest ever LED TV – the 60-inch SmartVIERA TX-L60ET5. The latest model launched this month strengthens the Panasonic line-up of LED TVs offering a wider choice to customers.
The Glass and Metal Design has evolved from ET5 family with a slim metal bezel. While providing outstanding picture quality across 60-inches at only 1.5 inches deep, the TX-L60ET5 has an energy rating of A+ to reduce power consumption and save on energy bills.
The SmartVIERA TX-L60ET5 comes with polarised 3D which is an easy way to view 3D images using light eyewear. Viewers have the option to convert 2D images into high-quality 3D images in real-time and four pairs of 3D glasses are provided.
An improved backlight control has increased generated frames from 50 to 100 frames per second through area splitting. This backlight features a wide transmission aperture that enhances the contrast between light and dark to provide excellent picture quality and smooth motion pictures.
By using VIERA Connect, customers can enjoy video and music, sports, games, and a variety of other content in addition to the standard movies and TV programmes on a high-quality largest ever Panasonic LED screen. The TV can be controlled through the simple operation of a remote control or by using the SmartVIERA Remote App that can also act as a game-pad or as a tool to swipe and share pictures or movies from your smartphone or tablet to the TV.
A cloud-based internet service supports interactive services using applicable equipment as well as an Internet-based shopping function that allows such equipment to be purchased straight from the TV. Networking has never been easier and the web browser supports HTML5 pages, so you can browse the internet much like you do with a PC but on a large screen for the whole family.
The TX-L60ET5 comes with built-in WiFi, DLNA, Media Player, VIERA Link, Game Mode and 4 HDMI Terminals.
