Berlin, Germany – Panasonic’s reference in picture quality the Panasonic VIERA TX-P50VT50 has been awarded ‘European Plasma TV of the year 2012-2013’ by the 2012 European Imaging Sound Association (EISA). The award is recognition for the TV’s deep black levels due to an enhanced panel filter blocking the entry of external light, natural colour reproduction and an immersive Full HD 3D performance delivered in a sleek and stylish form factor, thanks to its metal and glass design.
Established in 1982, the European Imaging Sound Association (EISA) is a multimedia association that tests consumer electronic products. With a membership including 50 audio, mobile, video and photo magazines from nineteen European countries, EISA’s awards are known as one of the most prestigious consumer recommendations that products can receive, and a key indication for the best consumer purchasing decisions.
Panasonic’s VIERA TX-P50VT50 NeoPlasma TV wowed the EISA jury with its outstanding performance both in 2D, and in 3D. To explain why it decided that TX-P50VT50 was the ‘European Plasma TV of the year 2012-2013’, the EISA jury commented: “Put simply, Panasonic’s TX-P50VT50 is the best plasma TV you can buy, offering deep black levels, natural colours and a superb Full HD 3D performance. The Blu-ray player won ‘European Blu-ray Player 2012-2013’ with the EISA Awards panel saying: “Panasonic’s DMP-BDT500 has it all. All awards will be officially presented during the EISA Awards Ceremony on 31st August at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin.
