Paragon Media announced that it has installed a new Lamin 6 color off-set disc printing press in its Seattle, WA facility.
According to the statement, Paragon uses the Lamin 6 color off-set press to decorate both prerecorded discs and custom printed recordable CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
“There is an emerging marketing in custom printed recordable discs,” says Gary Ricci, Vice President of Sales at Paragon. “Over the course of the last 18 months we have seen a serious lift in sales for custom decorated recordable CDs and DVDs that our customers are then using to burn their own content and the Lamin provides Paragon with unmatched capabilities here in the Northwest,” added Ricci.
“The Lamin represents a major technological breakthrough in disc decoration,” says Chris Lamb, President of Paragon Media. “The quality of the finished product is unprecedented. Off-set disc printing enables us to improve our client’s product value while at the same time reducing their manufacturing costs through the significant production efficiencies we gain using this new technology”.
