Multiple Modules Offer Complete Professional Video Toolkit for Software Developers

Huntington Beach, Calif. – March 31, 2011 – Pegasys Inc. the company that takes video to the next level, is launching the TMPGEnc Movie Software Development Kit (SDK), which includes file reading, encoding, filtering, and editing functions. The Video Mastering Engine (VME)-based architecture allows the SDK to be easily customized to specific needs by mixing and matching the different modules. Pegasys will be featuring the TMPGEnc Movie Software Development Kit in its Booth # SU9120 at NAB 2011.

The new SDK includes file reading, encoding, filtering, and editing functions. Here’s a preview of the seven included modules:

File Reader
Import and decode video to DIB (RGB, YUY2, YUV) video and LPCM audio. Deinterlace, resize, and resample (audio) functions also included. Supported formats: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264, AVI, WMV, MOV, WebM, DivX, mod, dvrms, wtv, flv, aac, aif, ac3, ec3, mp2, mp3, mp4, wav, wma.

Encoder
Encode DIB (RGB, YUY2, YUV) and LPCM audio to various video formats. Output formats include: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264, WMV, AVI, DivX, MKV, MOV.

Filters
Apply filters to DIB video. Filters include: deinterlace, picture crop, ghost reduction, video denoise, precision video denoise, contour, color correction, picture resize, video fade-in/out, color phase correction, anti-flickering, gaussian blur, sharpness, mosaic, mask, vintage picture, and playback speed,.

Import and Encode
A combination of the file reader and encoder modules allows users to import video and encode it to another format.

A combination of the file reader, encoder and filter modules allows users to import video, apply filters, and then encode.

Cut Editor with Smart Rendering
Edit video files with minimal re-encoding. Smart Rendering technology only re-encodes the sections that are edited, saving users precious time. Supported formats are: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264, DivX, MP2, DD, LPCM, AAC.

DirectShow Support
Adds DirectShow functionality to file reading and encoding.
