Philips Blu-ray Player with Miracast
Berlin, Germany – The Philips BDP7750 is its first Blu-ray Disc™ player with Miracast, a technology that enables consumers to unleash their Android phone’s and tablet’s content on the TV. Anything on your phone screen can be viewed on your television in an instant. Look at photos, watch videos, stream YouTube, even play mobile games on your TV’s big screen wirelessly.
“As a co-creator of the Blu-ray Disc™ format, Philips remains committed to providing the best in video entertainment,” said Ken Chan, marketing manager for home video at Philips Lifestyle Entertainment. “This is our first Blu-ray player that comes with Miracast, which is a handy feature for consumers to share their vacation photos or the latest viral videos with family and friends on TV, directly from their Android¹ phone and tablet. In addition, it also comes with 4K Ultra HD upscaling capability, allowing consumers to get the most out of their Ultra HD TVs.”
With BDP7750, consumers can upscale their Full HD films and photos into incredibly sharp and clear 4K Ultra HD resolution that is four times more detailed to make their Ultra HD TV shine. BDP7750 also features CinemaPerfect HD to give consumers the clearest picture and best cinematic experience. CinemaPerfect HD reduces video noise and sharpens images to bring a higher quality video image than previously seen. It is able to convert 2D to 3D, and with wireless streaming and Smart TV service consumers can access a wealth of additional content online.
To complete the experience, the player features DTS-HS Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 channel surround sound so you can feel the action of every movie as the director intended. When listening to music, the device intelligently switches to 2.1 channel stereo sound so the music can be enjoyed in the configuration it was intended for and the one that provides the best sound.
For added convenience the BDP7750, features built-in 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi for faster, wider wireless performance. It has a USB 2.0 port for easy sharing of music and photos as well, and is Skype ready so you can keep in touch with loved ones on the big screen.
Available in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2013, the BDP7750 has a suggested retail price of EUR 199.99
