Small Screen RCA Mobility
At the other end of the spectrum is a full lineup of small screen RCA televisions, specially designed for portability and convenience. From “AA” battery operated models to accessory adapters for an automobile video system and larger models ideal for tailgate parties, favorite channels are moving out of the house with the help of these portable TV products from RCA.
A line of hybrid RCA portable TV models feature reception for both standard digital and Mobile DTV signals. More than 70 TV stations around the U.S. are now broadcasting in Mobile DTV, which offers the convenience of watching TV while in the back seat of a moving vehicle or a train. Mobile DTV is ideal for virtually any “on the go” activity, bringing the convenience of local news, weather, sports and traffic to the supermarket line or Little League baseball game.
The top-of-the-line for Mobile DTV products is the 7-inch widescreen DMT270R, a hybrid Mobile DTV that also receives standard digital TV signals. With an 800×400 high resolution widescreen display, the DMT270R also has a built-in rechargeable battery and 500:1 contrast ratio. It is available at a suggested retail price of $149 from RCAPortableTV.com.
Hybrid Mobile DTV and standard digital TV reception is also a feature of the 3.5” RCA DMT336R, which features a built-in rechargeable battery and is available in either a black or white finish. Rounding out the hybrid Mobile DTV offerings is a tiny TV receiver designed to plug directly into an automobile or van video infotainment system. With an easy “plug-and-play” connection to infotainment systems, the DMT3BR is available from RCAPortableTV.com at a suggested retail price of $129.
Ideal for an emergency preparedness kit, the 3.5” RCA Portable TV, model DHT235C, operates on “AA” batteries and can tune over-the-air digital TV broadcasts from a stationary position. The DHT235C is available now at a suggested retail price of $80 from RadioShack and from RCAPortableTV.com.
