Singulus Technologies AG announced that it sold one of its BLULINE II Blu-ray Disc (BD) production lines to Regency Media Pty Ltd in Australia.
According to the statement, Singulus has over 80 Blu-ray production systems in the market and its BLULINE II is designed for the economical production of prerecorded (BD-ROM) 25 GB single-layer (SL) and 50 GB dual-layer (DL) discs according to the specifications issued by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA). All production steps from moulding, cooling, metalizing, wet-embossing, lacquering and UV curing to quality inspection are incorporated in the BLULINE II.

Regency Media, formerly known as AAV Regency, has manufactured media for the home entertainment industry since the mid 1950’s. Its business encompasses DVD and CD replication (75 million and 25 million/year respectively), packaging, design and distribution logistics provided from its facilities at Braeside in Melbourne and Northmead in Sydney.
Since 2007, Regency Media holds a Joint Venture with Saregama India Ltd, a publicly listed company in India to manufacture CD’s, VCD’s and DVD’s for the Indian market. In 2009, Regency Media acquired the Kings Park Home Entertainment Distribution Centre. The facility warehouses and distributes only home entertainment industry products for Twentieth Century Fox and MGM.
