Rimage® Makes Copying Discs Even Easier with the 8100N Disc Copy Station™ v2.0

MINNEAPOLIS–Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq: RIMG), the industry-leading provider of on-demand CD/DVD/Blu-ray Disc™ publishing systems, has introduced the Rimage 8100N Disc Copy Station™, Rimage’s newest system designed to copy CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs with the ease of a paper copier.

The 8100N Disc Copy Station follows the release of the Rimage 5400N Disc Copy Station in October 2010. The 8100N Disc Copy Station provides the same core capabilities of the 5400N system with more robust capacity, giving businesses the functionality of a disc copy appliance plus increased production abilities. With this version 2.0 release, Rimage has added functionality to the 5400N and 8100N Disc Copy Station systems, including:

• Bulk copy mode – automatically copy a set of original discs
• Improved photo and image quality (8100N only)
• Label watermarking option
• Adjustable-angle touch screen
• Easy-to-follow on screen tutorials for changing print ribbons and maintaining the system

“Professional industries have expressed a need for a higher capacity copy appliance with additional functionality,” says Christopher Wells, Senior VP, Marketing and Strategy at Rimage Corporation. “Together, the 5400N and 8100N Disc Copy Station meet disc copy needs in production environments across the board.”

As optical discs increasingly replace paper documents in business workflows, companies of all sizes need replicates of original discs for documentation management, data distribution, archiving or disc replacement. The 5400N and 8100N Disc Copy Stations photograph the artwork on top of the disc, read the contents on the disc, record the contents on a blank disc and print the copied artwork on top of the new disc. Multiple working copies of the original disc can be created as one job. This automated process eliminates complex tasks of locating contents and creating, purchasing or manually writing label information for the disc.

“We are proud to build on the success of the 5400N Disc Copy Station and offer solutions with greater production capabilities and added functionality,” says Wells. “The 8100N and 5400N Disc Copy Stations are flexible solutions that allow professionals to focus on core responsibilities and enhance production workflow.”

The 8100N Disc Copy Station is now available for order through Rimage’s Value Added Reseller network. For more information, visit www.rimage.com.
