Samsung Electronics Canada announced the Canadian launch of its new 9000 series television, a full HD, 3D, LED-backlit TV.
According to the statement, equipped with Samsung’s custom-designed 3D chip from its semiconductor division, the 9000 series boasts superior 3D image quality. At 7.98 millimetres thick, it also features the world’s slimmest panel alongside a high-class, stainless steel metal chassis that maximizes its sleek lines; a built-in tuner, embedded speakers and translucent neck contribute to its svelte look. The television stand contains an auto-sliding touchpad, and the TV is operated by a premium touch-screen “Smart Controller”, complete with an earphone jack and Twin View to transfer video from the television to the remote’s three-inch screen for viewing TV or Blu-ray DVD titles simultaneously. With a battery life of up to six straight hours, the rechargeable, wireless controller can be carried anywhere to further expand viewing possibilities.
“We are extremely proud to be the first brand to bring such a heightened viewing experience to consumers,” said James Murphy, vice president of Retail Sales and Marketing for Samsung Electronics Canada. “This technology is unlike any other currently on the market, and will forever change the standards of home theatres and how Canadians watch television.”
“Samsung is focused on being an industry leader, consistently providing innovative, top-of-the-line merchandise to shoppers seeking top-quality products,” continued Murphy. “The 9000 series television is simply our commitment to content without borders.”
In addition, users can access the Internet@TV feature, allowing them to download and view an ever-expanding portal of their favorite digital content onto their TV screen. Internet@TV also features Samsung Apps, which provide consumers with a broad selection of content and applications from leading services including social networking sites, videos and games.
Also included is AllShare for wireless connectivity and multimedia sharing across devices, allowing users to wirelessly transfer photos, movies and music from PCs, mobile phones and digital cameras to their TV. In addition, Connect Share Movie allows consumers to connect a thumb drive or digital camera quickly and easily to access videos, music, playlists and pictures via the remote.
The Samsung 9000 series television is now available starting at $6,299.99.
