Industry Veteran Joins Cinram’s Media Services Team in Los Angeles

TORONTO, January 26, 2011 – Cinram International Income Fund (“Cinram” or the “Fund”) (TSX: CRW.UN), is pleased to announce that Scott Lowy, former Head of Studio Operations, Sony DADC has joined Cinram’s Digital Media subsidiary 1K Studios.

Mr. Lowy will take on the newly established leadership role of Vice President, Media Services, where he will oversee the Blu-ray and DVD Compression and Authoring teams in Burbank, CA and Olyphant, PA, and will focus on extending the company’s technology portfolio, capabilities and customer service profile. 1Ks Media Services Group is part of a larger Digital Supply Chain initiative being lead by Cinram SVP Digital Strategy and Architecture, John Crosier.  Lowy will also work with Mr. Crosier to integrate and streamline the production process for clients wishing to use Cinram for end-to-end optical and digital distribution services.

In his former role at Sony, Mr. Lowy oversaw the successful development and delivery of highly complex DVD, Blu-ray and Digital projects. Prior to his work at Sony, Lowy served as SVP Marketing Operations for Avi Lerner’s First Look Studios, where he managed the company’s release strategy for DVD, Blu-ray and Digital products.

“These are exciting times for our industry.” Lowy says. “We are at another important turning point in the way in which content is created, manipulated, distributed and consumed, and I am thrilled to be part of a forward thinking and innovative organization like 1K Studios.”

1K Studios is a leading provider of multi-platform product development, content and marketing services. The company’s acquisition by Cinram earlier this year, and the hiring of respected talent like Mr. Lowy, demonstrate Cinram’s continued commitment to its core clients in the Home Media industry and its ongoing investment in the people and resources needed to enable steady and sustainable growth in traditional and emerging Home Media markets.

“Scott brings a great combination of vendor and client-side experience to 1K’s Media Services team” comments Steve Klinenberg, SVP of Technology & Operations, 1K Studios, “With the integration of our Compressing and Authoring, Digital and Mobile Development teams, we are now positioned to service clients across every platform.”
