Sony DADC announced that Michael Frey will assume the newly-created role of President, Sony DADC Digital Services and that Dave Rubenstein will join the company as President, Sony DADC Americas. Both appointments became effective on Monday, August 2nd.
According to the statement, in his role as President, Sony DADC Americas, Mr. Rubenstein will oversee all aspects of the company’s manufacturing, physical distribution and transportation businesses in North and South America. He will be based in Marina del Rey, California. Mr. Rubenstein comes to Sony DADC Americas with over 30 years experience in the home entertainment supply chain industry and most recently held the title of President and CEO of Cinram, a global provider of prerecorded multimedia products and related logistics services.
“Dave is a well-established industry veteran, and I am thrilled to have him join Sony DADC,” said Dieter Daum, CEO, Sony DADC Global. “I am confident that his leadership and knowledge of the industry will enable us to maintain and further our leadership in both the physical and digital areas of our industry.”
Mr. Frey, who previously served as President, Sony DADC Americas, will lead global digital content delivery solutions within the Sony DADC organization.
“Over the past three years, Michael and his team have implemented an industry-leading supply chain management system for our physical distribution business,” said Mr. Daum. “In this new role, he will have the opportunity to implement it for our ever-expanding digital offerings.”
Initially, Mr. Frey and his team will focus on clients from the film and music industries, and the scope will expand to include additional industry verticals, including broadcast and book publishing.
