Pioneer Launches Blu-ray BDXL Burner

Pioneer Japan announced its new BDR-206MBK, a PC-based Blu-ray Disc (BD) recorder compatible with the new BDXL format. According to the statement, in addition to BD-R and BD-RE 25GB (single-layer) and 50GB (dual-layer) discs, the BDR-206MBK reads and writes BD-R XL 100GB (triple-layer) and 128GB (quadruple-layer) as well as BD-RE XL 100GB (triple-layer) discs.
