DLNA Welcomes Five New Members

The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) announced that it has inducted five new Promoter Members. AT&T, Dolby Laboratories, Qualcomm, Technicolor and Verizon have joined DLNA’s 21 existing Promoter Members. DLNA is developing standards that allow for the sharing of content across devices, regardless of manufacturer.

DivX Targets Mobile Video Market

DivX, Inc. announced that over 60 mobile phones from multiple manufacturers have now achieved DivX Certification, including 15% of all Android devices. In addition, DivX announced a new licensing agreement with consumer electronics manufacturer Pantech, as well as an expanded relationship with Qualcomm to certify the Snapdragon IC platform.
