Toshiba Asks Canadians-What If You Had Your Own TV Channel?
MARKHAM, ONTARIO–(Nov. 30, 2010) –
Toshiba of Canada today announced the launch of MyChannel, a micro site that allows users to create their own TV channel by uploading videos and images that can be shared with friends and family in real-time, at the click of a mouse.
After creating their own channel, users simply pick and choose what music, videos and images they want to share and MyChannel takes care of the rest, cutting the content together to create their very own movie. Once the channel is created they can watch it simultaneously with their family and friends, no matter where in the world they happen to be.
“During the holiday season people are looking for ways to stay connected and Toshiba’s MyChannel gives them the chance to do that in a different, more innovative way,” says Sherry Lyons, Director of Communications, Toshiba of Canada.
By going to MyChannel, Canadians can also be entered into a draw to win a grand prize consisting of a 55-inch LED TV with DLNA and a Satellite A660 notebook computer featuring the Toshiba Media Controller. Users can also enter for a chance to have their MyChannel projected in major cities across Canada and for amazing weekly prizes, including two Satellite A660 notebook computers with Toshiba Media Controller and three 40-inch LED TVs with DLNA.
MyChannel was developed by Crispen Porter and Bogusky Canada as part of Toshiba’s 2010 Holiday campaign.
