Singapore, 24th August 2017: Singapore Exchange listed YuuZoo Corporation Limited (“YuuZoo” SGX:AFC), today announced that it has set up a new company, YuuLog Europe, together with the management of Cinram France, the market leader in entertainment sector logistics in France. YuuZoo owns 51% of the new company, while the management of Cinram France owns 49%. The entire management team will move to YuuLog Europe. The new company will operate out of Champenard, some 60 km from Paris.
Cinram France is the market leader in entertainment sector logistics and distribution in France with a 40-year history. The company is serving a big network of customers with thousands of shipments and parcels delivered daily. Its current client list includes leading global entertainment and eCommerce brands such as Amazon, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Zalando and ASOS.
YuuZoo currently has no employees in Europe but has recently sold franchise licences in UK, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria, and is in discussions in other markets. YuuZoo will now move the management of all its European operations to Champenard.
Says Thomas Zilliacus, chairman of YuuZoo Corporation: “Logistics is a key component in the eCommerce value chain. With more and more people using the internet to buy what they need, the companies who can offer a complete value chain that also includes logistics and distribution will be the winners. YuuZoo has new franchisees in seven countries in Europe. Having gathered a strong and solid reputation for handling logistics in Europe for major clients and brands such as Universal, Fox, Warner and Amazon, we believe that the knowhow and network of the management of Cinram France when combined with YuuZoo’s eCommerce knowhow and technology will make YuuZoo a strong new end-to-end eCommerce player in Europe, a market of 500 million people with the world’s highest ARPU in eCommerce” he concludes.
The new company will also make France the base for YuuZoo’s expansion into the rest of Europe through resellers, franchisees and marketing partners. This will include all aspects of YuuZoo’s business; tribal networks, eCommerce, payments and games. The new base in Europe and the complete end-to-end eCommerce capabilities, combined with YuuZoo’s offices in Asia, will allow YuuZoo to also offer its services to eCommerce companies in Asia who want to enter the European market.
Information required pursuant to the Listing Rules will be disclosed in a separate announcement.
